Jason Meintjes is a Los Angeles based commercial photographer who doesn’t usually refer to himself in the third person in real life.

Jason, like Bennie Boekwurm, absorbed most of his knowledge through osmosis, devouring photography books of the 70’s in the quest for the perfect image and an arsenal of inane photographic facts.

Jason, also known as ‘Son of an Electrician’ is drawn to portraiture and documentary work and wishes cameras were made of Lego, having taken apart and re-assembled his first camera because… well, it didn’t work?
It does now and the rest, as they say, is history.

Although fond of piña coladas and getting caught in the rain, he has resigned himself to spending most of his free time conquering mountains and making his wife tea.
